Terms of Service

By creating an account or using TaskDaily, you agree to the terms below. Please read them carefully; if you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1. The Service

TaskDaily ("we") provides a work management tool for teams at task-daily.com: tasks and projects, calendar, chat, documents, leave and overtime, daily check-ins, and a Discord bot (together, the "Service").

How personal data is handled is described in the Privacy Policy, which forms part of these terms.

2. Accounts

  • You must be 16 or older to create an account.
  • Your sign-up details must be accurate. You must verify your email before joining someone else's workspace.
  • You are responsible for keeping your password, two-factor device, backup codes and secret links (for example, your calendar link) safe. We recommend turning on two-factor authentication.
  • Tell us straight away if you suspect someone has accessed your account without permission. You can revoke your own sessions under Account.
  • One account per person; do not share an account with anyone else.

3. Workspaces and roles

  • The person who creates a workspace is its owner. The owner and anyone given admin rights decide who is invited, each member's role and permissions, and the workspace's leave, check-in, access and integration policies.
  • If you create a workspace for an organisation, you confirm that you are authorised to accept these terms on its behalf, and you are responsible for how the members you invite use the Service.
  • Admins can remove members from a workspace. A removed member loses access to that workspace's content.
  • Only the owner can delete a workspace or transfer its ownership, and both require re-authentication. Deleting a workspace permanently deletes all of its content.

4. Your content

  • You and your organisation keep all rights to the content you put on the Service (tasks, documents, messages, files…). We claim no ownership of it.
  • You grant us the right to store, copy, display and transmit that content as far as needed to run the Service, including sending notifications and syncing to the integrations your workspace has turned on.
  • Tasks, projects and documents you create in a workspace are part of that workspace's shared work and stay there when you leave. If you delete your account, authorship of that content passes to the workspace owner.
  • You confirm that you have the legal right to the content you upload and that it does not break the law or anyone else's rights.
  • You can export your account data at any time; owners and admins can export workspace data.

5. Acceptable use

You must not:

  • Use the Service for any purpose that breaks the law of Vietnam or of the place where you live.
  • Upload or spread malware, scams, or content that infringes the intellectual property, privacy or reputation of others.
  • Access accounts, workspaces or data that are not yours; scan, probe or try to bypass security mechanisms and rate limits.
  • Send spam, bulk invitations or harassing notifications by email, chat or the Discord bot.
  • Overload, interfere with or disrupt the Service's infrastructure; scrape data automatically beyond the features provided.
  • Copy, resell or commercially exploit the Service without our written consent.

If you find a security vulnerability, please report it to us privately instead of publishing or exploiting it.

6. Third-party integrations

  • Sign in with Google or Discord, the Discord bot and webhooks involve third-party services; when you use them, you must also follow those parties' terms.
  • When connecting the Discord bot, the admin confirms they have the right to add it to that Discord server, and understands that notifications posted to a channel are visible to everyone who can read that channel.
  • Data sent to a webhook address configured by an admin is handled by the receiving party; we are not responsible for the receiver's systems.
  • We do not control, and are not responsible for, outages or changes in third-party services.

7. Fees

The Service is currently free. If paid plans are introduced later, we will publish their prices and conditions clearly and give at least 30 days' notice. You will never be charged unless you actively sign up for a paid plan.

8. Availability and changes

  • We work to keep the Service stable but do not promise it will always be available, error-free or uninterrupted. There may be maintenance windows or unexpected incidents.
  • We may add, change or discontinue features. For a change that removes significant functionality, we will give notice in advance where we can.
  • Some technical limits apply to protect the system, for example the upload size (25 MB per file) and request rate limits.
  • You should keep your own copy of important data using the export feature.

9. Suspension and termination

  • You can stop using the Service and delete your account at any time under Account → Privacy. If you own a workspace that still has other members, transfer ownership first.
  • We may suspend or terminate accounts or workspaces that break these terms, put other users' security at risk, or when a competent authority requires it. Except in an emergency or where the law does not allow it, we will tell you why.
  • If we stop providing the Service altogether, we will give at least 30 days' notice so you can export your data.

10. Limitation of liability

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available". To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential damages such as lost profits, lost data or business interruption arising from using or being unable to use the Service.

Nothing in these terms excludes any liability that Vietnamese law does not allow to be excluded, including consumer rights under consumer protection law.

11. Governing law and updates

These terms are governed by the law of Vietnam. Disputes are to be resolved by negotiation first; failing that, by a competent court of Vietnam.

We may update these terms. For important changes, we will notify you in the app or by email before they take effect; continuing to use the Service afterwards means you accept the new terms. If any term is found invalid, the rest remain in effect.
